Massage lotions or creams are not made to soak in quickly. For a massage you want the oil or lotion to stay on top of the skin to provide glide and flow for the hands.
I have used essential oils in my massage practice since 1996. At first I used blends in a oil base, which is effective if you take the time to work the oil in. I was always frustrated by the short term effects and realized that a lot of the oil did not soak in. This left a lot of the oil to be wiped off the body at the end of the session, to keep from staining clothes or just feeling oily. A lot of the essential oils evaporate during this type of treatment as well.
I began to use a type of bodywork called Myofascial Release that uses no oil. I would do this treatment first then still use the oils to finish up. Better long lasting results but still a lot of oil not soaking in. So I searched for a lotion or cream that would soak in quickly and take the essential oils with it. I tried many mixtures and settled on the one used in these creams.
The people I used these on noticed the difference right away. I began to mix what worked for them so they could use it between sessions or when they were traveling etc. That is how these creams came to be.
I have many success stories with many chronic problems.
I mix different therapies in my practice. What works for one person may not work the same for another. Or even the same person at different times. So I do whatever works.
