WASHINGTON -There is no vaccine yet, or approved West Nile treatment. The best protection is to avoid mosquitoes, using repellent whenever you're outdoors and not letting puddles collect in flower pots, wading pools or other spots where mosquitoes can breed.

ATLANTA - After years of promoting the chemical DEET as the best defense against West Nile-bearing mosquitoes, the government for the first time is recommending the use of two other insect repellents.

Repellents containing the chemical picaridin or the oil of lemon eucalyptus offer "long-lasting protection against mosquito bites," the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said, adding that repellents with DEET remain on the agency's recommendation list.

"Since West Nile virus is present across the entire country at this point and it's here to stay, we constantly need to be vigilant," said Dr. Lyle Petersen, director of the CDC's division of vector-borne infectious diseases. "It gives consumers a better option to protect themselves."

Our product is made from all natural canola oil and top quality essential oils of citronella, eucalyptus citriodora, (eucalyptus lemon, lavender and peppermint.

Keeps insects and pests away from you and yours!

Let animals relax!

Hand mixed natural insect repellent.Tear or cut a piece of cloth into strips, spray and hang by your door or in barn, corral or mosquito and fly gathering areas. No insectcide. Safe to spray on or brush down animals with. OK for people as well, but strong smell will keep away more than insects.

4 OZ spray bottle

{Some people like the smell.}

Tried and tested formula in SE Texas and SW Louisiana for 5 years and now in Arizona. Been used on baby goats, mules, and horses. Keeps bugs outside and off outside animals.

WONDERING ABOUT THE SAFETY? TRUE STORY!!

A friend mistakenly used this mixture as she would've plain oil in lasagna. (NO KIDDING!!) Several people ate the lasagna and no one even got ill. One of the men who had a second helping swears that it was two weeks before a bug got near him! HONEST! HA! HA! How's that for safe?

ABOUT THE NO INSECT INSIDE

August 5, 2004 My poor little black mule named Shamrock. He is allergic to flies and allergic to fly spray. Every morning consisted of washing his legs with an aggressive scrubbing and applying an antiseptic. In the heavy fly season, this was done sometimes three times a day! I was getting very concerned with some of the sores becoming proud flesh as they never really ever had a chance to heal in the summer months and winter was still a long time away. After rubbing the Lotions N More on him the flies stayed off the sores which were then able to heal.

I now apply the rub to him about every other day and the flies no longer make a host of his legs. The work and attention to him and his problems have changed considerably. All that now remains are light hair spots where there were once open sores.

Animals are like humans and have allergic reactions. The Lotions N More rub proved to have the natural ingredients to keep the flies away without out causing an allergic reaction to his skin. Shamrock is now a happy little black mule and we spend more time doing fun things.

I also use the Lotions N More strips in my barn to keep the flies away. The cloths are placed over the stall openings and at various spots around the corral. The pot-belie pig loves to lie in the horse stall as the flies stay away from her and the geese and the duck are staying close to the stalls also when they are let out of their pens! There is a whole big barn but the animals seem to be migrating to the stall area.

I can only contribute this to what I refer to as my NO FLY ZONE.

My neighbor uses another method of fly control and the other day I observed that her horses where all standing in a huddle and their tails where swishing up and down and all around like fly swatters with motors. My animals where standing quietly in their corral with just an occasional swish of the tail. This confirmed to my husband and I that what I was doing was working in my corral.

The Lotions N More strips are natural and environmentally safe and I would recommend them to be placed anywhere.

OTHER SUCCESS STORIES

In this time of wildfires a family here is using goats to clear brush in the natural forest. They had kids earlier in the summer and had terrible problems with flies. You cannot use chemical sprays on any babies so they used our spray and the flies just left them alone. They are now using it on all 1100 of their goats and know what to do next kidding season.

My father in law lives in Lousiana has a open garage. This is where the back door, the main entrance, is located. It was always a rush to beat the mosquitos in the house. That is when I developed this formula and sprayed on a cut up dishcloth hanging around the garage. A mosquito cannot be found in his garage and he has used this method for 5 years.

Good for hiking where flies are a problem. No need to spray directly on the skin, OK if you want to, spray on cloth and put on belt, backpack etc. I ususally spray a cloth and put in in Roux's collar, that's her in the picture, and they leave her alone.
